The SCEC (Sunshine Coast Employment Centre) is a team of career development specialists dedicated to providing quality, employment services, support and information to individuals on the Sunshine Coast. Our services are FREE to anyone who is legally entitled to work in Canada.  Our services are funded federally by Service Canada and provincially by the BC Ministry of Housing and Social Development (MHSD). We are local, private business, not a government agency. We offer a drop-in resource centre with a computer lab, hi-speed internet access, telephone, FAX, photocopier, and an extensive resource library.  We can assist you with resumes, cover letters, current local labour market information, interview skills and or job search, job maintenance concerns. Employment Coaches are here to guide your goal setting, career decision-making, and skills development while providing one-on-one assistance covering vocational assessments, training subsidies, job searches and support.
